Dressing for the office, in the winter.

The days are getting shorter and colder.  This is a sure sign that old man winter is right around the dreaded corner!  We all know the drill when it starts to get cold….it’s time to take out those thick, warm, cuddly clothes that we’ve buried away last spring.  For most women, it might also mean a trip to the mall to ‘enhance’ her closet with the latest trends.

However, if you invest in some good quality and classic pieces, you might not have to restock your wardrobe every season. This ‘investment’ might be costly initially but will eventually save you valuable dollars in the long run (which you can use to take a nice, tropical vacation when the chill of January gets to your bones!).

A few staple pieces for the professional woman should include a good quality pair of black wool-blend slacks, comfortable winter boots and a warm coat in a neutral tone.  Accessories such as scarves, gloves and hats can be updated to match with the latest colours and styles of the season.
